What is frugally.app?
📄️ Connecting Your AWS Accounts
A Connection links frugally.app to one of your AWS accounts via an IAM role. Once connected, frugally.app can discover resources, run executions, and pull cost data.
📄️ Creating Targets
A Target is a logical group of AWS resources identified by service type, regions, and tags. Targets are the building blocks for Executions and Schedules — every action you run in frugally.app is aimed at one or more Targets.
📄️ Connecting Slack
The Slack integration gives you execution notifications and quick actions directly in your workspace. It's optional but recommended — especially before creating schedules, so you can select a notification channel.
📄️ Running an Execution
An Execution is a manual, one-time action against one or more Targets. Use it to test your setup or handle ad-hoc needs like starting a dev environment for weekend work.
📄️ Creating a Schedule
Schedules automate your Executions. For example, turn off your dev environment at 7 PM every evening and start it again at 8 AM on weekdays — saving money overnight and on weekends without lifting a finger.
